At GameScale we develop a cloud-platform for online games to help its developers to scale their server-capacity without hiring dedicated staff and gaining appropriate competences through multi-hour downtime. That would allow them to concentrate on gameplay and overall game quality. We aim to do the same thing for online games that Heroku and Google App Engine did for web-apps. As far as we know this niche remains relatively unchallenged with only a couple of players everybody complains about.
